Matthew Kelsey, LCSW

I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and relational or transitional issues. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and couples, and prior to starting my private practice, I spent 10 years working in various school settings.

My approach begins with building strong, trusting relationships, allowing for a deeply personalized therapeutic experience. I draw from a diverse toolkit—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and psychodynamic therapy—and tailor each session to meet the unique needs of the people I work with. In addition to talk therapy, I have training and experience in neurofeedback and biofeedback, helping patients regulate their nervous systems and better achieve their treatment goals.

I believe that while psychotherapy can be a powerful catalyst for change, lasting improvement is best supported by engaging in meaningful experiences outside of the therapy room. I encourage clients to explore activities and practices that promote well-being, helping them build resilience and create lasting, meaningful change in their lives. Before becoming a therapist, I was an NCAA athlete, teacher, and camp director, and these experiences continue to inform my practice and the way I approach my work with clients.
