Sarah Teitelbaum, LMSW

I view therapy as an opportunity for clients to deepen their understanding of themselves and find ways to move forward by examining the experiences that shape them. My goal is to create a space where my clients feel respected and understood, while also being challenged to see things from different angles. Through collaboration and my curiosity about my clients, we identify patterns that may not serve them well and find ways to shift them, developing a more grounded perspective.

I primarily work with individuals experiencing interpersonal issues, life transitions, anxiety, OCD, and panic disorder. My practice incorporates evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic Theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. I believe some of the most effective work in therapy happens when my clients feel comfortable being honest about their thoughts and feelings, and accept support, bridging the past and present, in order to work towards a meaningful future.

More than anything, therapy is a place where clients should be able to show up exactly as they are. It may be ironic, but true acceptance is the necessary first step towards change and growth. You don’t need the answers, or even the words to describe what’s going on; we tackle it together. Our time together offers a unique opportunity to grow and find clarity, so you can connect with a true sense of purpose and move sustainably forward in your life.
